Ray H. Carroll passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020 at home with his family. He was 90 years old and the beloved husband of sixty-three years to Mary E. Carroll.
Mr. Carroll was born in Havre de Grace, MD to the late Walter Eugene and Mary Ella (Jackson) Carroll, Sr. He was the devoted father to Mark M. Carroll (Jardin), Craig M. Carroll (Lisa) and Robin R. Johnson (Rick). He was the loving grandfather of Courtney C. Smith (Randy) and Grant M. Carroll,; also adoring great-grandfather of Jeremy R. Smith and A. Cruz Smith. He was the loving brother of Robert Carroll, John Carroll, Walter E. Carroll, Jr. and Dorothy C. Roop.
Mr. Carroll was born and raised in Havre de Grace. He graduated from Havre de Grace High school in 1946; served in the Army; and retired as an accountant after 38 years at Aberdeen Proving Ground. He dearly loved his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed walking, dancing and playing cards.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M., where a funeral service will be held at 11 A.M., Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD 21078.
