Richard Allan Bittner, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on January 21, 2019. He was 51. Mr. Bittner was born in Pittsburgh, PA, to Janet Ruffo Bittner of Meyersdale, PA, and the late Robert Austin Bittner. He was the beloved and devoted husband of 18 years to Katherine Louise Bittner, loving brother of Paul Bittner and his wife Flor de Liza, of Meyersdale, PA, and uncle of Paula Johnston and her husband Leonard, Kenny Jones, Keeley Jones, Addison Suit and Josh Suit.
Mr. Bittner was a Senior Auditor for the U.S. Army Audit Agency and was the recipient of the Auditor General Award. He was a member of the Meyersdale, PA Knights of Columbus in the fourth degree.
Mr. Bittner enjoyed watching sports and was a Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates fan, but was also an avid wrestling fan.
A viewing will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019, from 6-8 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at 10:00 AM, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD 21078. Father Dale Picarella will officiate. Interment will be held at Mt. Erin Catholic Cemetery.
