Richard Glassman



Richard C. Glassman of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on December 10, 2009 at home. He was 48. He was the devoted husband of 26 years to Connie Lynn (Thompson) Glassman.
Mr. Glassman was born in Havre de Grace, MD to Charles W. and Ella Louise (Burns) Glassman. He was the loving father to Clayton Pendulm Glassman and Garrett Grant Glassman. He was the brother of Senator Barry Glassman and his wife Debi, Vickie Ruth Hawkins and her husband Coale Hawkins and Mark Andrew Glassman and his wife Shyla. Mr. Glassman had served in the United States Marine Corps and then worked as a Foreman for the Maryland Transportation Authority at the J.F.K. Maintenance Division. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting and fishing. He was a member of the RockRunUnitedMethodistChurch in Darlington, MD. A Visitation was held on Sunday, December 13, 2009 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD, 21078. Funeral Services were held on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 11 AM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A. Pastor Gary Sieglein officiated. Pallbearers were Mark Glassman, Barry Glassman, Clayton Glassman, Garrett Glassman, Jordan Glassman, Tyler Hoshall, Jake Bowman and Connor Hartsock. Interment was held at RockRunCemetery in Darlington, MD, with Military Honors.
