With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rickey "Rick" "Poppy" Linwood Bowman, Sr., who left this world peacefully on August 28, 2025, at the age of 67. Rick was born on February 28, 1958, in Havre De Grace, Maryland, where he spent his life surrounded by family and friends who cherished him dearly.

Rick was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 48 years, Penny Bowman. Together, they nurtured a loving home for their children: Stormee Hickling (Dan), Rickey Bowman, Jr. (Angela) and Al-Lee Clark (Nick).

Poppy's legacy lives on through his grandchildren - Cora, Justine, Daniel, Brooks, Bristol, Weslee, and Walker. They were the light of his life. Poppy took immense joy in spending time with them, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Survived also by siblings- Robin West, Ronnie Bowman, and Randy Bowman.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents Emanuel "Pud" & Nina Bowman.

A dedicated maintenance mechanic, Rick took pride in his work and was always eager to lend a hand. He had a natural talent for tinkering, fixing things, and working on cars, showcasing his ingenuity and determination. His passions extended to the great outdoors, where he enjoyed hunting and exploring nature's wonders.

Rick's warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched the lives of many, and he will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family are invited to an informal Celebration of Life, Sunday, September 7th from 1pm to 3pm at the American Legion Joseph L Davis Post 47 in Havre de Grace, Maryland.
