Robert, a resident of Edgewood, Maryland, dedicated his professional life to the field of Information Technology, finding fulfillment in his role at ServiceNow. Though he pursued a path in technology, it was his love for music and collecting records that truly defined his spirit. He had a remarkable ability to find joy in every note and lyric, sharing his passion with family and friends alike. Robert was also an avid movie enthusiast, taking pleasure in the art of storytelling through film. Those who knew him will remember not only his eclectic tastes but also his gentle heart, which held a special affinity for elephants, representing wisdom, loyalty, and strength.

Robert leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted spouse, Laurenia "Laura" Combs, and his siblings, Janet Rosemary Thacker (Sam), Richard Allen Combs (Carolyn), and David Wayne Combs, Sr. (Karen). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Together, they will carry forward his memories, embodying the warmth and kindness he shared with those fortunate enough to know him. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Franklin Combs and Patsy Ruth (Breeding) Combs, his brother, John Clair Combs, and sister-in-law Marie Combs.
