Robert (Bob) Frederick Woods, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on April 20, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on January 5, 1943, in Havre De Grace, Maryland, Bob led a life marked by hard work, dedication, and an unwavering love for his family and the natural world around him.
A proud resident of Havre De Grace, Bob enjoyed a distinguished career in the aerospace industry, where he worked for American Cyanamid and Alcore Incorporated for a remarkable 43 years. His contributions to the field were significant, and he was respected by his colleagues for his expertise and integrity.
Outside of his professional life, Bob found joy in a variety of hobbies. He was an avid gardener, nurturing plants with the same care he showed his loved ones. Bird-watching brought him endless delight, allowing him to connect with nature and appreciate its beauty. His creativity flourished through photography and painting, capturing moments that will be cherished forever. Music was another passion of his, echoing through his home as he found solace and joy in melodies of all kinds.
Bob had an innate love for the outdoors, where he reveled in the sun and the serenity of nature. He was especially fond of gathering with family and friends, often sharing laughter and love over a meal of steamed crabs alongside a cold Blue Moon. These moments were the heartbeat of his life, and he treasured the time spent with his loved ones.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Priscilla (Susie) Woods; his daughters, Tammy Rapposelli (Rick) and Rachel Glassman (TC); his son, Robert (Andy) Woods; his grandchildren, Ricky Rapposelli (Summer) and Jared Lewis (Jessye); his step-grandchildren Coldon Rapposelli, Jordan Rapposelli, Christian Glassman (Julia), and Kennan Pencek (Jake); his great-grandchild, Tori Rapposelli and step great-grandchildren Elena Rapposelli, Rebecca Pencek, and Jack Patrick, his sister, Florence Simpers (late John); and his niece, Lisa Simpers. Each of them held a special place in Robert's heart, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Robert Warren Woods and Dorothy Grace Wiemert Woods, and nephew, John Simpers, Jr.
Funeral services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Robert's memory to Harford County Public Library, Havre de Grace Branch, Harford County Public Library. Robert's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.
