Roger Wayne Barnes, of Abingdon, MD, passed away on December 6, 2021. He was 47.

Mr. Barnes was born in Baltimore, MD, to Robert F. Barnes, Sr., and Shirley Ann Temple Barnes. He was the loving father of Tyler Barnes, Brianna Barnes, and Elizabeth Trapp, brother of Robert F. Barnes, Jr., and uncle of Victoria Barnes.

Mr. Barnes was an avid bowler, bowling professionally for several years. He was in the Maryland State Hall of Fame, and Greater Baltimore Hall of Fame. He held several titles including Maryland State 1995 Doubles Handicap, 2001 Team Scratch, 2001 Doubles Scratch, 2001 All Events Scratch, 2002 Team Scratch, 2003 Singles Scratch and 2004 Team Scratch, GBBA 2002 Doubles Scratch- Barlow, 2003 Team Scratch- Smooth 5, 2005 Team Handicap, 2007 Team Handicap, and 2008 Doubles Scratch- Hollen, and Cecil Harford Title, 700 Club Singles Scratch- Edgewood. He also enjoyed playing pool.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 4-5 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD 21078. Funeral services will begin at 5 PM.
