It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger Clark Hart Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, who left us peacefully on February 24, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on August 22, 1958, in Havre De Grace, Maryland, Roger was a lifelong resident of the community he cherished. Roger began his career with the Federal Government in 1989 as a Stationary Engineer at Edgewood Arsonal. From Edgewood he continued his Federal service career as an Airway Transportation Systems Specialist for the Federal Aviation Administration where he played a key role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our skies. His commitment to his work was paralleled only by his love for his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Janet; his father, Dr. Robert Hart and wife, Sue Hart; three children, Emily, Roger, and Travis; four cherished grandchildren, Olive, River, Plymouth, and Violet; and his brothers, Timothy Hart and David Hart. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sydney Hart.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Roger was a man of many talents and passions. A gifted musician, he could play any instrument, mastering the guitar and trumpet with unmatched skill. He was a devoted member of the Susquehanna Beekeepers Association. Roger enjoyed spending quality time with his family, embracing every moment of laughter and love. He cherished reading, biking, and family vacations, always finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had an innate curiosity and loved learning. Most of all, he loved people and had a unique ability to make everyone feel special.
As we remember Roger's life and legacy, we invite all who knew him to join us for a celebration of life service at Bel Air Church of the Nazarene on March 1, 2025, at 10:00 am. This gathering will be a time for family and friends to honor his memory, reflect on the love he shared, and celebrate the profound impact he had on all our lives.
Roger will be deeply missed, but his legacy will remain alive in the hearts of those who loved him. In this difficult time, we find solace in the memories we hold dear and the love that will always bind us together.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Wicker & Reed Crisis Pregnancy and Adoption Services, honoring Roger's heart for adoption.
