Throughout his career, Roger took on various roles including truck driver, bartender, chauffeur, and notably, driving trucks for liquor deliveries. His unwavering work ethic earned him respect among his peers, and it was evident that he approached every task with dedication and commitment.

Roger found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially when it came to dining out in vibrant Chicago. He had an affinity for his favorite restaurants, where he not only delighted in the culinary offerings but also cultivated friendships with many of the chefs. Roger was well known for his generosity, often treating those around him to dinner and sharing laughter and good conversation.

An avid storyteller, Roger loved engaging with others, captivating them with tales from his life and adventures. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Nancy L. Johnson, and beloved daughters, Sherry Quartrini and Jody Becker. Roger was the son of Eric and Eleanor Johnson, who preceded him in death. His legacy of hard work, kindness, and creativity will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Roger’s life exemplified the importance of connection, and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
