Born on November 12, 1934, in Baltimore, MD, Ron was a cherished member of the Churchville community, where he lived for many years following his retirement in 1992.

Ron dedicated many years of his professional life as a Claims Examiner for the Social Security Administration, serving the public with integrity and commitment. A proud veteran, he enlisted in the Army on July 1, 1954, and served honorably during the Korean War, until his discharge on April 10, 1956, achieving the rank of Private First Class.

Beyond his career, Ron was a devoted family man, survived by his beloved wife, Marjorie "Sue"Cassady; son, Christopher Doenges (Cheryl); and cherished grandchild, Conrad, and great-grandchildren, Scarlett and August Doenges. His warm spirit and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Doenges, Sr., and Emilie Franke Doenges, daughter, Deborah Doenges, and brother, Carl Doenges, Jr.

A passionate Harley Davidson enthusiast, Ron loved the freedom of the open road and was an active member of the Harley Owner's Group (HOG) Baltimore/Elkridge Chapter. He was also a longtime member of the Republican Alliance club in Harford County; the American Legion Post 39; and the Baltimore Bicycling Club where he first met his wife of 30 years, and and the Memory Cafe, an early Alzheimer's organization in Harford County. In his leisure time, Ronald showcased his incredible woodcraft skills, creating beautiful oak furniture and remodeling the interior of his home with love and detail. Ron was was trustworthy, principle-oriented provider. He was known for being dedicated; generous; fastidious, and will also be remembered for his love of dogs.
