Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Lee Stanyard, Sr., of Havre De Grace, Maryland, who departed this life on June 3, 2026, at the age of 66. Ronald was born on February 22, 1960, and lived a life filled with passion, dedication, and joy.

Ronald was a beloved father and proud grandfather. He is survived by his son, Ronald Stanyard, Jr. (Bridgette), and three cherished grandchildren, Aiden, Sophia, and Isabelle Stanyard. He also leaves behind his devoted sister, Vera Stanley, and his brother, Jeffery Briney. Together, they will forever carry the memory of Ronald's warmth, kindness, and unwavering support. Ronald was preceded in death by his beloved wife Betty Ann Brown Stanyard, brothers, Bennett Stanyard, Sr., Kenneth Stanyard, and Carl Briney, and his mother, Rosie Lee Rutherford Briney.

For many years, Ronald thrived as a manager in the auto sales industry, making a significant impact at Bel Air Auto Auction. After retiring, he pursued his passion for driving by delivering food for Nonnie's in Havre de Grace. This job not only allowed him to continue to showcase his beloved car, which he took great pride in, but also gave him the opportunity to connect with his community.

Ronald was a true sports enthusiast, passionately cheering for his teams-the Redskins, Orioles, and Lakers-with an unwavering spirit. He was particularly fond of Shaquille O'Neal, whose larger-than-life presence mirrored Ronald's own zest for life.

A gathering to celebrate Ronald's life will take place at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A. in Havre De Grace. There will be a public viewing on June 10, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, allowing friends and family to come together in reflection and remembrance. The funeral service will follow on June 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM, where we will honor his memory and the joy he brought to our lives.

Ronald Lee Stanyard, Sr. touched the hearts of many and leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
