Obituary

Ruth "Ruthi" Eugenia Kozub, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on October 4, 1946, in Baltimore, MD, Ruth lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion.

She is survived by her beloved husband, James A. Kozub; her devoted daughters, Kristi Andrychowski (Ronald "Ron" Andrychowski) and Jaime Burr (Charles "Chuck" Burr, II); and her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy: Joshua, Megan, Matthew and Evan Andrychowski, Charles "Charlie" Burr, III (Elisabeth), and Katie Ridenour (Conner). Ruth also leaves behind her brother, James Pusloskie, and numerous nieces and nephews who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Delores (Phelps) Pusloskie, siblings, Dorothy Stefan (Bernard), Michael Pusloskie (Yvonne), Anthony Pusloskie, sister-in-law, Mary "Pooky" Fisher (John) and her in-laws, James and Della Kozub.

Ruth was a dedicated dispatcher by profession, working for Rainbow Transport, Bata Shoe Company, and TIC Gums, but her true passion lay in her family and community. She was an active member of the Havre de Grace Elks Lodge, where she formed lasting friendships and shared her warmth and kindness. Affectionately known as "Gia" to her grandchildren, she was a shining light in their lives, creating cherished memories through her love and care.

In her leisure time, Ruth found joy in bus trips and visiting casinos, relishing the thrill of adventure. She shared countless memorable rides on her husband's Harley Davidson, experiencing the beauty of the open road together.

A funeral service will be held in Ruth's honor at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., on September 22, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Prior to the service, there will be a public visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, allowing friends and family to gather and celebrate Ruth's remarkable life.

Ruthi "Gia"Kozub will be greatly missed but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. May her memory be a blessing to us all.
