It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandra Maye Nichols, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and dedicated educator, who left this world on April 11, 2025, at the age of 83. Sandra was born in Fallston, MD, and resided in Havre De Grace, MD, where she touched the lives of many through her warmth and kindness.
Sandra was a proud graduate with a Master's Degree and dedicated her life to the field of education as a Home Economics Teacher for Harford County Public Schools. Her passion for teaching inspired countless students, and her legacy will be remembered by those whose lives she enriched.
A cherished member of her family, Sandra is survived by her loving husband, William E. Nichols, Jr., daughters Melissa Anne Nichols and Kristen Maye Dunlop (Greg), and her adored grandchildren, Courtney and William Dunlop.
Family was at the core of Sandra's life. She cherished the moments spent with her loved ones, shopping for a special gift, taking walks around the neighborhood, or baking with her grandchildren. She made every holiday special for her family, from making gingerbread houses to setting up Easter egg hunts around the house. She loved time spent in the summer on her patio surrounded by her beautiful flowers and koi pond. She enjoyed boating with her husband, Bill, and enjoyed living many years in Ocean Pines. She also loved playing Mahjong and Canasta with her friends at Bulle Rock. Sandra was an avid Maryland Terrapins Basketball and Football Fan.
Sandra's spirit will live on through the many memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her.
