Saskia Maria Herrell, born on October 20, 1957, in Wurzburg, Germany, passed away on October 22, 2024, in Aberdeen, MD, at the age of 67. A beloved wife to James (Chip) Herrell and cherished mother to her daughter Stevie Herrell, Saskia possessed a passion for music, her home, her family, and tending to her garden. The pride she held of her German heritage and her love for her homeland, brought joy to all those that Saskia reminisced with.

Having completed her specialized education, Saskia pursued her career in Pathology as a Lab Technician with the University of Wurzburg, demonstrating her expertise in her field and warming the hearts of her colleagues. Her warm spirit, devotion to her family, and love for music were just a few of the qualities that made Saskia a truly remarkable individual.

In celebration of Saskia's life, a time of gathering and reflection to honor her memory will be held in the near future where family and friends will be invited to join in commemorating Saskia's life, sharing stories, and remembering the love and joy she brought to all those around her. She will be deeply missed but her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Rest in peace, Saskia Maria Herrell. Your light will forever shine bright in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know you and now God has called one of his lambs home.

Saskia is one of five daughters (Saskia Herrell, Jutta Zelko, Julie Suleiman, Marlen Jani, and Christa Dijong) born to father Maximillian Pohly, and mother Josefa Schwarz.
