Obituary

Sharon Elizabeth Heimberger, a beacon of love and selflessness, passed away peacefully at her home in Perryville, MD, on September 17, 2025, surrounded by her devoted family. Born on June 29, 1960, in Baltimore, MD, Sharon's life was a testament to courage, love, and dedication to her loved ones and community.

Sharon spent her formative years in Baltimore, where she graduated from Overlea High School. She was a woman of intelligence and commitment, which led her to a fulfilling career with the Internal Revenue Service. Her colleagues remember her as a dedicated employee who brought warmth and kindness to her work, making lasting friendships and leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of working with her.

In the heart of her home, Sharon's love story with Michael Joseph Heimberger, Sr., blossomed, and they enjoyed 43 years of marriage filled with mutual respect, support, and deep affection. Sharon's role as a mother to Sarah Renee Cerny and her husband Matt, and the late Joey Heimberger, was filled with the same love and devotion she gave to her husband. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment with them, especially her grandchildren, Angela Heimberger, Joey Lamana, Jenna Cerny, Caroline Cerny and the late Katie Heimberger, her great-grandchild, Lorelei Chmielecki, and her brother Bob Lincoln (Patty).

She took great joy in watching her grandson play sports, cheering him on with pride and enthusiasm. Her love for these moments was a true reflection of her involvement in her grandchildren's lives.

Sharon's spirit extended beyond her family as she loved spending time with her friends and long-time neighbors. Her home was often filled with laughter and camaraderie, a place where memories were made and cherished. Those who knew Sharon would describe her as loving, courageous, and selfless-a woman whose presence uplifted those around her.

Though we mourn the loss of such a remarkable soul, we celebrate the legacy Sharon leaves behind. She was preceded in death by her son Joey Heimberger, her father William Lincoln, and her mother Irene Lincoln. Her memory will be forever cherished by her loving husband, Michael, her daughter Sarah and son-in-law Matt, her grandchildren, great-grandchild, brother, and the countless friends and family members whose lives she touched.

Sharon Elizabeth Heimberger's life was a journey of love, resilience, and unwavering commitment to her family. As we say goodbye, we take comfort in the knowledge that her legacy of love and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved. Sharon's life was a beautiful story of devotion and joy, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
