Shirley Ann Perry passed away peacefully April 11, 2025, at the age of 78, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on March 21, 1947 in Havre de Grace, Maryland to B. Davis and Anna "Jean" (Walls) Bowman, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Shirley graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1965 and continued her education at Harford Community College, where she earned an Associate's Degree. Her commitment to public service led her to serve as a budget analyst at Aberdeen Proving Ground, where she dedicated 46 years in civil service.
Born and raised in Havre de Grace, Shirley was life long member of Wesleyan Chapel United Methodist Church, where she nurtured cherished relationships and shared her faith with others.
Married to her loving husband, Robert Perry, for 60 wonderful years, Shirley was the heart of her family. Together, they raised two children: daughter Wendy Cline (Tim) and son Robert Perry (Jeanette). Shirley delighted in spending time with her grandchildren, Michael Perry (Colleen), Savanna Campbell (James), Ciera Cline (Charlie Shaneybrook), Nicholas Perry (Rachel Burman), Wyatt Perry, Sarah Murray, Ryan Murray, and Derek Murray, as well as her great-grandchildren, Olivia Perry, Kinsley Campbell, Grayson Campbell, and Weston Campbell. She was the sister of Jimmy Bowman (Tammy), Donny Bowman (Sandy), Cathy Sumner (Preston), and the late Jerry Bowman and Ronnie Bowman. Her remarkable ability to create lasting memories was evident in her love for scrapbooking, where she captured the precious moments shared with her family.
Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Shirley's life during the funeral service, which will be held at Wesleyan Chapel United Methodist Church, 409 North Paradise Road, Aberdeen, MD, on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Luncheon to follow at Level Volunteer Fire Company. In this time of remembrance, we gather to honor her memory and the profound impact she had on all our lives.
