Teresa Margaret Erkert of Berwyn, PA, passed away on February 22, 2022, at her daughter's home in Street, MD, surrounded by her family. She was 94.

Teresa was born in Philadelphia, PA, to Thomas and Margaret Rush Steele. She was the wife of the late James H. McCloskey, Jr., with whom she had her sons James H. (McCloskey) Erkert (Kathleen) and the late Thomas J. (McCloskey) Erkert (the late Cassandra). After being a widow for some time, Teresa met and married (the late) William L. Erkert, with whom she had four more children, Suzanne E. Streeter (Eric), Katherine R. Miller (Richard), William L. Erkert, III, (Amy), Maria T. Obringer (Gerard). She is survived by 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Thomas Steele, Joseph Steele, Susan Steele Maier, Margaret Steele McNamara, and Mary Steele Shivelhood.
Teresa was a devoted wife and mother and loved socializing with family and friends. She loved music and dancing. She enjoyed cards and games, arts & crafts, crochet and sewing. She loved birds and being outdoors. She was creative, playful, compassionate, kind, and generous. She valued friendship and cherished many lifelong friends.

The Erkert's home of 46 years in Berwyn, PA was a frequent gathering place for holidays, barbeques, and pool parties. Everyone was made to feel welcome, and many happy memories were made there.

Teresa was an active member of St. Monica's Church in Berwyn for many years. She enjoyed 25 years of employment at TV Guide in Radnor, PA, until she retired in 2005.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 6th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Monica's Church in Berwyn, PA, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.
