Obituary

Tilden Hugh "T.H." Hencher, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, at the age of 63, due to natural causes. Born on February 19, 1963, in Florida, Tilden made a lasting impact on his family and friends throughout his life. He resided in Aberdeen, Maryland, where he built a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

A dedicated construction worker, "T.H." took great pride in his career, contributing his skills and hard work to the industry. His passion for building reflected the way he nurtured his family, laying a strong foundation of love and support for his wife, Carol Ann Hencher, and their children: Tony Hencher (Andrea), Tayler Blansfield, Codie Davis (Jamal), and Sheena Haynie (Wesley). Tilden was a proud grandfather, who adored his grandchildren: Lily Hencher, Brayden Hencher, Amaya Davis, Zaeyden Davis, Nihlah Davis, Alyssa Haynie, and Wyatt Haynie. His legacy will live on through them.

In addition to his devotion to family, "T.H." was a man of many interests. An avid fisherman, he found peace and joy in the great outdoors. He enjoyed countless hours playing pool and darts, always ready for friendly competition with those around him. A passionate sports fan, Tilden was a devoted follower of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the NASCAR circuit, with a particular admiration for driver Ward Burton.

"T.H." is survived by his loving wife, Carol; his children; and his grandchildren, each of whom will carry forth the warmth and kindness he shared with the world. He is also survived by his sisters, Charmaine "Charlie" McGourty and Candy Livingston, who will miss his spirited presence deeply. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas Hencher and Nancy McKown Hencher, and brother Chris Hencher.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at Tidewater Marina, Regatta Room, 100 Bourbon Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.

"T. H." will be remembered not only for his gentle spirit and warm heart, but for the love he shared so generously with those around him. As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
