Timothy Rutecki, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on September 7, 1965, in Camden, New Jersey, Timothy settled in Cecilton, Maryland, where he became well known and beloved in his community. He was known for his warm heart, quick wit, and the way he could brighten anyone's day. Whether it was through a funny story or one of his signature jokes, he always found a way to make people smile. He had a gift for making people laugh and never missed a chance to lift someone's spirits.
A lifelong heavy equipment operator, Tim always said he never really wanted to grow up - he just wanted to play with big trucks. And in true form, he did just that, turning his boyhood dream into a career he loved.
Timothy's passions extended far beyond his work. He found immense joy in gardening and took pleasure in boating, fishing, and crabbing. Around the house, there was always something in progress - a project halfway done, an idea taking shape, or tools waiting for his return. Finishing them wasn't really the point; it was the joy he found in tinkering, fixing, and creating that mattered most.
Timothy was an animal lover, dedicating his time to caring for his beloved dog and cats, who were integral members of his family. Above all, he treasured the moments spent with his grandchildren, Braelyn and AJ DiMauro, whose laughter and joy filled his heart with pride and happiness.
When his wife, Nancy, passed, a piece of Tim went with her. Their love was the kind that lasts beyond this life - the kind that leaves no doubt they were soulmates. He missed her deeply every single day, and now they're together again, exactly where he always wanted to be.
Timothy leaves behind his two daughters, Cortney DiMauro (Anthony Jr.) and Danielle Rutecki, along with his beloved grandchildren, who will carry forward his love for life, nature, and family. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, wittiness, warmth, and the enduring legacy of love he imparted to those around him.
Timothy was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Rutecki; father, Theodore Rutecki; mother, Kathleen Raynor; sister, Christine Rutecki; and brother, Steven Rutecki.
Timothy will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He's probably cracking jokes and starting another project somewhere - just like always.
