It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Travis Craig Humiston, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend, who departed this world on April 21, 2025, at the age of 40. Born on October 23, 1984, in Sierra Vista, Arizona, Travis spent his formative years in Waterbury, Connecticut, where he graduated from Sacred Heart High School. He went on to pursue his passion for engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he not only earned his Bachelor's Degree but also founded a snowboarding club that fostered lifelong friendships.
Travis was a dedicated engineer whose expertise shone through in both his professional and personal life. He was known for his impressive skills in electronics, often described as an electronic tinkering genius, and he found immense joy in completing each of his projects.
His commitment to service extended beyond his engineering career; Travis served as a civilian in Afghanistan, where he was honored with the Superior Civilian Service Award, for his distinguished public service. He proudly supported veterans and remained a lifelong advocate for their well-being.
Travis was a passionate musician who loved playing the guitar and writing songs, allowing him to express his creativity and emotions. However, his greatest pride and joy were his two daughters, Abigail and Charlotte, who were the center of his universe. He cherished every moment he spent with them, guiding and inspiring them with his unwavering love.
A devoted family man, Travis is survived by his mother, Patricia Humiston; his father, Craig Humiston; his sister, Jessica Humiston; and his treasured daughters, Abigail and Charlotte. He also leaves behind his nephews, Ostin, Jonathan, Liam, and Gabriel, and his dear nephew, Rowan, all of whom brought him immense happiness.
Travis was an active member of the Cecil County Historical Society, reflecting his love for history and community engagement. He had a heart for others and continuously embodied compassion, generosity, and kindness.
