It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Virginia Singleton Corona, who departed this life on October 3, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in Havre De Grace, Maryland, on May 18, 1945, Virginia was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, leaving a lasting impression on the lives of those she touched.
Virginia dedicated her professional life to her work at Aberdeen Proving Ground for 45 years. She started as a clerk typist, working her way through several positions, and retired as a Contract Officer. She was known for her tenacity and unwavering commitment to her work. She enjoyed sewing and during Covid, she made over 300 masks too sell and donate. She was known for her amazing cooking and published her own cookbook, "Just Like Mom Used to Make". Virginia was always ready to travel, whether it was a road trip or a cruise. Above all else, her family was the most important part of her life, and she enjoyed family dinners and get-togethers.
She is survived by her loving sons, Wade Fenner (and his wife Tisha) and William Fenner, and her cherished daughter, Kelly Roberson (and her husband Gregory). Virginia was the adored grandmother of Autumn Fenner (and her fiancé Brandon Mitchell) and Trae Fenner (and his wife Gabby). Her siblings, George Singleton (and his wife Anga) and Betty Henson, also mourn her loss. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Singleton.
In honor of Virginia's life, a public visitation will take place on October 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A. A funeral service will follow, beginning at 12:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate her remarkable life and the lasting legacy she leaves behind.
Virginia will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and the warmth she brought into the lives of everyone around her. She taught us the importance of family, compassion, and perseverance, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
