Vivian (Gilbert) Reedy


Vivian (Gilbert) Reedy of Bel Air, MD passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at UpperChesapeakeMedicalCenter. She was 84. Mrs. Reedy was born and raised in Havre de Grace, MD by her parents the Late George & Gladys (Moore) Gilbert. She was the wife of the Late George Reedy. She was a devoted mother of Karen J. Reedy and Edward A. Reedy and his wife Jeanne.
She was an adoring grandmother of six: Kyle Reedy, Jimmy Hammond, Lucy Reedy, Mackenzie Reedy, Meagan Haltiwanger and John Haltiwanger, and also a caring grandmother to her grandogs: Aries, Zephyr, Katy and MacDuff. She was predeceased by five of her siblings. Mrs. Reedy was a graduate of Havre de GraceHigh School. She had lived in Havre de Grace and North East most of her life. She retired after 30+ years from the C & P Telephone Company. She was a member of the telephone pioneers of Maryland and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Havre de Grace. She enjoyed reading and playing BINGO. She loved her family and spending time with her grandogs. Mrs. Reedy was an avid supporter of Animal Rescue Organizations. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008 from 1 PM to 2 PM, where a Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM, at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.
Pastor Jeffrey Welch of the Church of Reconciliation will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, friends and family may make donations to Greyhound Pets of America, P.O. Box 42103, Baltimore, MD21284-2103.
