Mr. Walter G. Boyd
Walter Gillespie Boyd, Jr., of Havre de Grace, passed away peacefully on Easter, March 23, 2008 at the CitizensCareCenter in Havre de Grace, MD. He was 89.

Mr. Boyd was born in Perryville, MD to the Late Walter G. and Lillie (Benjamin) Boyd. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Audrey E (Collins) Boyd.

Mr. Boyd was a devoted father to Philip Boyd of Fort Meyers, FL, M. Lynn Boyd of Elizabethtown, PA, Terry L. Boyd of Las Vegas, NV, James N. Boyd of Havre de Grace, MD and the Late Thomas Boyd. He was a loving grandfather of six and great-grandfather of six. Walter was the brother to Eugene Boyd of Perryville, MD and Betty Valentino of New London, Connecticut.

Walter retired from the Aberdeen Proving Ground Civil Service as a Supervisor Carpenter. He enjoyed carpentry, gardening and his family. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW of Havre de Grace, MD. He was enlisted during WWII. He was a Private First Class; Company A, 69th Tank Battalion in the 6th Armored Division of the Army.

Officiating will be Pastor Ron Tabor of the First Christian Church of Havre de Grace, MD.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, 2008 from 10 to 11 AM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD 21078.

Interment will be at HarfordMemorialGardens in Aberdeen, MD.
