Walter M. Stout


Walter M. Stout, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 8, 2009 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. He was 87.

Walter was born in Baltimore, MD to the Late Martin F. and Pearl (Younger) Stout. He was the loving husband of 68 years to Katherine A. (DuBree) Stout.

Mr. Stout was a devoted father to Dale M. Stout of Perryville, MD, Tamara L. Dillon of Havre de Grace, MD, Sherry L. Ramey of Brooksville, FL , the Late Jerry L. Stout and the Late Matthew M. Stout. He was a grandfather to Dawn Ramey, Shelby Smialek, Marty Stout, Scott Stout, Gregory Stout, Michael Stout, Michael Fede, Tamara Nunoze, Regan Stout and Wendy Stout. He was also a great-grandfather to Chelsey Hartman, Aubry Stout, Jamie Stout, Isabelle Stout, Nevaeh Nunoze, Sione Mahana and Kai emi Mahana. Mr. Stout was predeceased by his sisters Hazel Moretti and Alice Bernardi.

Mr. Stout had worked at Couriers Garage until 1952 and then became the cemetery manager for AngelHillCemetery in Havre de Grace, Maryland. He started Stout's Backhoe business, which has been in business for over 30 years. He has been actively working in the Cemetery Business for more that 57 years. He loved fishing and working.

Pallbearers will be Dale Stout, Greg Stout, Michael Stout, Charles Zellman, Michael Fede, Shawn Woodie and Anthony Bernardi.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 10 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.

A service will be held on Saturday, 10 AM, April 11, 2009 at the Evangel Assembly of God, 801 N. Paradise Road, Aberdeen, MD, 21001. Pastor Jeffrey Ellwood and Pastor J. William Kokie will officiate.

Interment will be at Angel Hill Cemetery in Havre de Grace, Maryland.
