Wanda Lorraine "Ms. Petey" Lay, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on April 3, 2016. She was 87.
Ms. Petey was born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, to the late Charles Leslie Creswell and Sarah Jane Hines Creswell. She was the devoted wife of 68 years of Donald William Lay of Havre de Grace, MD, loving mother of Keith Creswell Lay of Havre de Grace, MD, and Janet Leslie Cullum and her husband Joseph Cullum, Sr., of Havre de Grace, MD, and was the adored grandmother of Joey Cullum, Jr., and great-grandmother of JoAnna Dahl and Joshua Dahl. She was predeceased by her siblings.
Ms. Petey was a member of Havre de Grace United Methodist Church, Young at Heart, American Legion Post 47, and Havre de Grace Elks Lodge. She enjoyed watching sports on television with her husband, Mr. Donald, and going to the casino. She could often be found enjoying the views of the people and boats at the Havre de Grace Yacht Basin and the Promenade.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016, at 10:00 AM, at Havre de Grace United Methodist Church, 101 S. Union Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD. Pastor Norman Obenshain will officiate.
