Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William Francis Bauer (Billy), beloved brother, friend, and community member, who departed this life on January 28, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on March 31, 1951, in Havre De Grace, Maryland.
William was a proud member of the Aberdeen Volunteer Fire Department, dedicating his time and effort to serve his community with distinction. He was also a Life Member of VFW Post 1826 and an active participant in the American Legion Post 47 Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge in Aberdeen, MD. His commitment to service and camaraderie was evident in all he did.
Surviving William are his loving sisters and brothers: Patricia Berrie (Jon), Brenda Bauer, Donna Bauer-Goodnow, Marsha McIntosh (Glenn), Brian Bauer (Laurie) and Terry Bauer. Surviving nieces and nephews: Christopher Williams, John Goodnow (Val), Rebecca Fleming, Jennifer Gangemi (Joe), Joshua Rogers (Olivia), Brittany Shenk (Ricky) and Tyler McIntosh. He also is survived by many loving cousins. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
Throughout his life, William enjoyed various pastimes that brought him joy and fulfillment. He had a passion for shooting pool and playing shuffleboard, relished time spent at the beach, and found satisfaction in collecting coins. As a talented guitarist, he shared his love of music with others, often bringing people together through his playing. Additionally, he found joy in cooking and the warmth of volunteering, embodying a spirit of generosity that touched the lives of many.
For those wishing to pay their respects and celebrate William's life, a memorial service will be held on February 1, 2025, at 1:00 PM.
William's legacy of kindness, service, and love will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew him. In his honor, we invite all who loved him to come together to remember his vibrant spirit and the many ways he enriched our lives. Rest in peace, dear William.
William was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Francis Bauer, and his mother May (Fallon) Lam.
