It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William "Billy" Henry Boyd, Jr., who departed from this world peacefully due to natural causes on June 26, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on October 8, 1940, in Havre De Grace, Maryland, Billy lived a full and vibrant life, leaving behind cherished memories that will be treasured by his family and friends.
Billy is survived by his daughter, Rose Marie Lanter (Eddie), and his brother, James "Kevin" Boyd (Sheila). Billy was preceded in death by his father, William "Henry "Boyd, Sr., mother, Alice "Marie" Boyd, his daughters, Sandra Lynn Boyd and Mary Ann Boyd, and his brother, Michael P. Boyd, Sr.

Billy was an Artillery Tester for DSI, at Aberdeen Proving Ground, where his dedication and expertise were highly valued. He took great pride in his work, contributing significantly to the safety and effectiveness of artillery. His career was marked by a passion for precision and excellence that extended into all corners of his life. Billy was a member of American Legion Post 128 in Aberdeen. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed football and baseball and played baseball as an adult. Billy was also a competitive skeet-shooter. He loved taking rides in his Convertible red truck.

A funeral service to honor William's life will be held on July 2, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A. Family and friends are encouraged to join in celebrating his remarkable journey and the profound impact he had on so many lives.

In these moments of sadness, let us come together to remember William with compassion, to share stories, and to find comfort in the love he gave so freely. He will be greatly missed but will forever remain in our hearts.
