William John Brogan Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, peacefully passed away on May 15, 2025, at the age of 87. He was born on August 20, 1937, in Perryville, Maryland, and spent his life in Havre de Grace, Maryland, where he became a cherished member of the community.
A proud veteran, William served in the United States Marines from January 3, 1957, until his discharge on December 11, 1959, attaining the rank of Lance Corporal. His dedication to service remained a guiding principle throughout his life, as he actively participated in various community organizations, including the Havre de Grace Elk's Lodge and American Legion Post 47. He was also a devoted member of the Havre de Grace United Methodist Church.
William was known for his warmth and caring spirit. He embraced every moment spent with his family, including his daughters Trudy Lynn Sullivan (Michael) and Cynthia Lorraine Andrews (Keith), and his son, William John Brogan, Jr.. He was a proud grandfather to Ginger Lee Walters and Joshua Edward Davis, and a loving great-grandfather to Ean Cade Walters and Zaine Garret Walters. William was also survived by his brothers, Clifford "Lee" Brogan and Alfred "Al" Brogan, who shared his passion for life and family.
In addition to his deep love for family, William had a wide range of interests. He found joy in camping, fishing, and bowling, and was an enthusiastic supporter of youth sports. He his time to coaching recreational soccer and football teams for his kids, and he proudly umpired girl's softball games, fostering a love of sports in countless children.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate William's life and legacy. Funeral services will be held on [insert date and time], at Harford Memorial Gardens, where loved ones will come together to honor the remarkable man William was and the indelible impact he left on all who knew him.

William John Brogan Sr. will be profoundly missed by all whose lives he touched, but his spirit will forever remain alive in the hearts of his family and friends.
