Obituary

William “Bill” H. Osborne, Sr., the effervescent life of the party, departed this world peacefully on January 12, 2026, at the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Born on September 11, 1940, in the quaint town of War, West Virginia, Bill carved out a vibrant life, full of adventure and warmth, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love.

A dedicated career shaped his years, as he served in the Havre de Grace Police Department with unwavering commitment. With the same vigor, he took on managerial roles for both Pepsi Cola and UPS, where he flourished until retirement. His professional endeavors were marked not just by diligence but also by an infectious enthusiasm that brightened the days of those around him.

Beyond work, Bill was a man of diverse passions; he reveled in the thrill of sports cars and motorcycles, particularly his luxurious Goldwing. A true wanderer at heart, he found joy in the simple pleasure of driving nowhere, relishing spontaneous adventures. His fondness for fast food, flea markets, and yard sales illustrated a zest for life that was equally as vibrant as his personality. He embraced each moment with a contagious smile and laughter that resonated with family and friends alike.

Bill is survived by his loving children: Debra Barrett, William Osborne, Jr. and his wife Kristine, and Nicki L. Wiseman and her husband Rich. His legacy continues through his grandchildren—Mark Turner, Sarah Barrett Villa, Chloe Osborne, Stella Osborne, Cierra Richardson, and McKenzie Richardson—and many great-grandchildren who carry forward the joyful spirit he embodied. He is also mourned by his siblings, Thomas Osborne, Jr. and Dorthy "Dot" Janelle, who will forever hold memories of their adventures together close to their hearts.

In his passing, Bill joins his dearly departed parents, Thomas E. Osborne and Mary Elizabeth (Day) Osborne, as well as his siblings, Harry Osborne, Robert Osborne, and Sandra Sue Osborne. Their reunion is a bittersweet comfort, resonating with the laughter and love that has defined Bill's life.

To honor his memory, friends and family are invited to gather at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 927 Pulaski Highway, Havre de Grace, MD on January 27, 2026. A visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at noon. Bill will be interred at Harford Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen at 1:00 PM, where he can rest among those he loved.

As we reflect on the remarkable life of William “Bill” H. Osborne, Sr., we are reminded of the joy he brought into our lives and the legacy of love that will continue to inspire us all. Messages of love and memories may be shared at www.zellmanfuneralhome.com
