Winifred Marie Carroll, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and dedicated nurse, passed away peacefully from natural causes on May 4, 2025. She was born on July 18, 1952, in Seaford, New York, and lived a life filled with love, compassion, and service.

Winifred was a proud graduate with an Associate's Degree from Vassar College and devoted much of her professional life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse. For many years, she served at Franklin Square Hospital and Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, where her gentle spirit and unwavering dedication left a lasting impact on her patients and colleagues alike.

Beyond her professional achievements, Winifred was deeply committed to her faith and community. A long-time member and volunteer at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, she enriched the lives of many as a Eucharistic Minister. Her faith guided her compassion and commitment to serving others, and she took great joy in helping those around her.

Winifred cherished her family above all. She was profoundly proud of her sons, Christopher Babiak (Leslie), Michael Babiak (Liz), Thomas Carroll (Colleen), Pete Carroll, and , Sean Carroll (Jess). Her grandchildren, Sean Babiak, Jacob Babiak, Katie Babiak, Allison Carroll, Stephanie Carroll, Jason Carroll, and Beck Carroll, were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Winifred enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including running, sailing, and participating in her beloved book club.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 21 years, Thomas M. Carroll, III, and her dear sister, Janice Burdon. Winifred's kindness, laughter, and unwavering love will be missed by all who knew her.

A Mass celebrating Winifred's life will be held on May 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. A public viewing will take place at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A. on May 8, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
