Patricia Lee Anderson, nee Sand, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on February 16, 2015. She was 57.
She was born in Devil’s Lake, North Dakota and adopted by Jacquelyn Marie Walker and Duane Francis Sand (deceased).
She was the loving wife of Bruce Anderson of four years. She was the loving step-mother of Shelly Renee Dotson of Sterling, Va, Wendy Dawn Harrison of Bridgetown,West Australia, and Amanda Jean Anderson of Glendora, CA. She was the grandmother of Sydney Dotson, Madilynne Harrison, Christian Harrison, Kyra-Rose Harrison, and Daniel Harrison.
Mrs. Anderson served in the U.S. Navy from July 1975 to December 1976. She served as a Petty Officer stationed in Edzell, Scotland. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Colorado at Denver in May 1989 and worked as a Software Engineer in the defense and aerospace industry for 22 years.
Mrs. Anderson loved to care for strays and rescued animals, and was known for her ability to train rescued animals to be loving pets. She also enjoyed scrap-booking and knitting. While living in Alice Springs, Australia she enjoyed bushwalking and supported the Pine Gap Desert Race team as a pit crew member for the Finke Desert Race for many years. She was a member of New Life Community Church in Aurora, CO.
