The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Herbert Shepler can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Ideas, ideas

I had the privilege of working with Herb on Havre de Grace issues for several years. He was full of ideas and boundless energy. He made a difference, particularly in the Busines District and Waterfront areas. One of his visions, a breakwater creating a safe harbor and flood protection for the city's waterfront recently resurfaced and could become a reality. He would have been so proud to see this happen.
