The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gunther Hirsch can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: To the Hirsch family,

So sorry to hear about Dr. Hirsch's passing and my thoughts and prayers go out to the Hirsch family. He was without a doubt a Havre de Grace institution. More importantly, he was one of my biggest cheerleaders always giving me advice and words of wisdom. I truly appreciated his insight and broad base of experience. Take comfort in knowing that he left behind a treasure chest filled with precious memories that you can always cherish forever. I will always remember his nightly swims at Chesapeake Swim Club. While his physical presence may have been taken from us, trust me, he will never be forgotten.
