Obituary for Jose Morales Garcia Jr.

Jose Morales Garcia, Jr., of Delta, PA, formerly of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on July 6, 2015. He was 65.
Mr. Garcia was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Jose Morales Garcia and Eva Morales Garcia.
He was the devoted husband of 32 years to Kay Frances Lilly-Garcia, loving father of Abraham Garcia and his wife Melissa of Fredericksburg, VA, Tonjah Huhn of Delta, PA, Larry Rakes of Palm Beach, FL, David Rakes of FL, and Michael Gatauco of North Kingstown, RI. He was the grandfather of Shawnee Rakes, Larry Rakes, Rihanna Rakes, Benjamin Rakes, Andrew Rakes, Kristanya Gatauco, Michael Gatauco, Bryana Huhn, Courtney Huhn, Buddy Garcia, Joshua Garcia, Joseph Garcia, Annmare Garcia, and Amber Garcia. Mr. Garcia also had great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Priscilla Garcia, Linda Garcia, Vicki Chavez and the late Paul Garcia. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Charles Huhn, Jr.
Mr. Garcia served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He received a Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, and an Air Medal with the ā€œVā€ Device. He was a member of American Legion Post 47. He was also a member of Riverside Community Church. Mr. Garcia enjoyed remote controlled helicopters, building model cars, and fishing. He loved his pets and spending time with his grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 11 AM until 1 PM, at Bethel Apostolic Church, 21 North Earlton Road, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will begin at 1 PM. Pastor Jason Evans will officiate. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens.
