Obituary for Ruby B. Keesee (Burton)

Ruby Burton Keesee, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on September 16, 2016. She was 96.
Mrs. Keesee was born in Clover, South Carolina, to Floyd and Bess Burton. She was the wife of the late Robert Keesee, loving mother of Sterling “Bud” Keesee, Robert Keesee, and Judith Keithley and her husband Carroll, grandmother of Michael Scott Grace and his wife Terri, and great-grandmother of Fallon Grace and the late Michael Scott Grace, Jr. She was the dear sister of the late Thomas Burton, Virginia Willis and Betty Ellis.
Mrs. Keesee served in the U.S. Army Nursing Corp. during World War II, European Theater, on U. S. Navy Hospital Wisteria. She not only helped our veterans, but also provided care for German Prisoners of War. She retired as Head Nursing Coordinator for Perry Point VAMC. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her flowers. She loved and adored her cat, Taffy.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at 11:00 AM, at Harford Memorial Gardens.
