She was born in Independence, VA, to the late Dixie and David Anders, Bobbie married Gilbert Bowers in 1957 and loved him dearly for the next 57 years. During her lifetime she dedicated herself to giving her children, Ronald “Ron” Bowers of Darlington, MD and Steve Bowers, of Havre de Grace, MD, her love and showing them how to be kind, caring, selfless people like she was. Bobbie was a not only a mother-in-law, but a friend to her daughters-in-law, Christine and Mary Lynn Bowers. She was the loving, doting Grand mom to Yana, Val and Nickolas who, in her eyes, could do no wrong.

Before her illness, Bobbie loved tending to her flowers and would spend all day making sure they were just right. She also loved to cook. The family always looked forward to her pizza, baby back ribs, banana pudding and especially her special pound cake.

Bobbie is survived by her sister Frieda Willy of Orange, VA and her brother David Anders of Independence, VA. Her brother Ted and sisters Jay and Doris preceded Bobbie in death.
