Barbara Ann Reeves



Barbara Ann Reeves, of Darlington, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2009. She was 55.

She was born in Havre de Grace, MD to the late Walter and Gertrude Husvar Tanchuk. She was the devoted wife of 32 years to William Van Reeves of Darlington. She was the loving mother of Dayna Suzanne Reeves of Havre de Grace, MD, and Whitney Ann Reeves, of Darlington, MD. She was the dear sister David Tanchuk of Huntington Beach, CA, Michael Tanchuk of New York, Ralph Tanchuk of Aberdeen, MD, and Mari Powell of Aberdeen, MD. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Reeves graduated from JohnCarrollHigh School. She was a nurse at DarlingtonElementary School for 15 years. She then worked as a nurse at Cecil County Health Department. She was a member of the American Legion Post 47 Ladies Auxiliary, and the VFW Post 8126 Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Reeves enjoyed cooking, gardening, care-giving, boating, loved spending time at the beach and having Blizzard Parties.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 6, from 6-9 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, Maryland 21078.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 7, at 11:00 AM., at the funeral home. Pastor Ed Heydt will officiate.
