The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Benjamin Hall can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Working with Ben

Working with Ben was a rich experience.  Of the many things he taught me, one that stands out the most was to "surround yourself with good people."   He knew that the secret to success was not always in the smartest or most educated but in the character of the person that you worked with and depended on.  A good person would always make the right decisions and work well in a team environment; always do their best.  Ben was a very good person that I leaned on, trusted and looked up to!

There was fun too.  He did like his sweets and could be easily fooled on April's Fool Daywhen the trick was a fresh (empty) box of donuts.  And, I can't tell you how much fun it was when we had the mini spa day as a Christmas destressor, or when he received the Christmas gag gift of a body piercing certificate.  I also enjoyed our talks about real estate, renovations, investments, and how clever Dolores was at each of these things.

Ben had a strong sense of responsibility and never left his post unattended.  He would often accompany me during the late night  Board meetings when he didn't have to but did it because he would never leave me without the backup of information he alone possessed about a project that was being hear that night.  It was always my pleasure to work with Ben.  I will recall our talks often and consider myself a better person as a result of knowing Ben as a colleague and friend.
