Obituary for Betsy Ann Harner

Betsy Ann Harner


Betsy Ann Harner, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on November 7, 2012. She was 52.
Betsy was born in Baltimore, Maryland, to Barbara Snook Haywood of York, PA, and the late Albert Haywood. She was the loving wife of 21 years to Michael Lee Harner, the mother of the late Wade T. Poet, step-mother of Jason M. Harner and his wife Sarah Lippy-Harner of Hanover, PA, and Ashley Rummel, and her husband Robert Rummel of Hanover. She was the step-grandmother of Noah and Addison Harner of Hanover, PA. Mrs. Harner was the dear sister of Albert Haywood and Brenda Hilgert of York, PA. She is also survived by her Goddaughters, Carolyn, Genevieve, and Evie Dutterer and friends that loved her like family.
Mrs. Harner worked for Dr. David Jaffe. She was devoted to her family, friends and godchildren. She loved Ironbird’s Baseball, and served as a host family for many of the players. She was the “adopted mother” of Pedro and Maria Silveren.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2012, at 3:00 PM, at the Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps., 1601 Level Road, Havre de Grace, MD 21078. Pastor James Heyward will officiate.
