Obituary for Betty J Gillotte
Betty Jay Gillotte, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2014. She was 82.
She was born in Bel Air, MD, to Steven Lester Burchette and Luna Grace Burchette. She was the devoted wife of Frederick "Fred" R. Gillotte, Sr., loving mother of Linda J. Packard and her husband Charles Packard, Sr., of Havre de Grace, MD, Vicki Eller and her husband Grant Eller of Peach Bottom, PA, and Frederick R. Gillotte, Jr., and his wife Allison, of Havre de Grace, MD. Mrs. Gillotte was the adored grandmother of Kelly Connors, Charles "Chad" Packard, Jr., and Megan Gillotte, and great-grandmother of Kyle Connors. She was the dear sister of Robert "Blane" Burchette, Ray Burchette, Myrtle Coale, Melvin "Bob" Burchette, Verna Rierson, Pearl Plummer, Howard Burchette, and Mary Tavis.
Mrs. Gillotte was a member of the Harford County Democratic Club. She was an avid Orioles and Ravens fan. She was also a fan of Tom Brady. She loved cooking and bringing her family together for get togethers.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 5-8 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A. , 123 South Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home. Pastor Norman Obenshain will officiate. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens. Pall bearers will be Kelly Connors, Charles "Chad" Packard, Jr., Rex Gordon, Kyle Connors, Daniel Harris, and Mark O' Brien. Honorary Pall bearers will be Mark Gorham and Charles Packard, Sr.
