Obituary for Charles Liebig

Charles Ronald Liebig

Charles Ronald Liebig of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away at his home on August 18, 2008. He was 69 years old.

Mr. Liebig was born in Baltimore, MD to the Late Charles Henry and Mary Margaret (Green) Liebig. He was a loving husband of 24 years to Gwendelyn Ann (Jones) Liebig.

Mr. Liebig was an adoring father to Kevin Christopher Liebig and his wife Andrea Svoradova Liebig of Havre de Grace, MD and Edward Alan Liebig of Baltimore, MD. He was going to be a grandfather in December to Christopher Andrej Liebig.

Charles was graduated from HighlandHigh School and completed two years of College, veteran from the U.S. Army Airborne 82th Ordinance as a Private First Class, and retired from the Department of the Army (civilian) Edgewood Arsenal. Most of all he enjoyed serving God, his family, and the Body of Christ throughout the world. He was a member of Church of Reconciliation and was a dedicated veteran of many Walk to Emmaus Christian renewal weekends. He worked to clothe those in need recently through the “Blue House” ministry.

“Charley,” as everyone called him, embodied this saying he kept at his desk: “One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had, nor what clothes I wore. But, the world may be better because I was important in the life of a child.” You are important in our lives Charley and we are better because you touched us.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2008 from 7 to 9 PM at the Church of Reconciliation, 128 North Bond Street, Bel Air, MD 21014.

A service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2008 at 10 AM at the Church of Reconciliation in Bel Air, MD.

Officiating will be Father Rob Northwood.
Interment to be held at BelAirMemorialGardens, Bel Air, MD, where Military honors will be given.
