Obituary for David James Tibbetts

David J. Tibbetts of Aberdeen, MD passed away on May 1, 2014 at Harford Memorial Hospital. He was 68. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Jane Tibbetts. Mr. Tibbetts was born in Rome, Maine to the Late Raymond and June Fuller Tibbetts. He was the adoring father to Jeff Johnson, Tami Campbell and her husband Bob, Cynthia Powell and Sheri Johnson. He was the devoted grandfather to Mallory Shelton, Matthew Campbell and six step-grandchildren. He was also the step great-grandfather to three. He was the loving brother to three brothers and two sisters. Mr. Tibbetts was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired as a Heavy Equipment Operator and worked as an Instructor at the School for the Army. After retirement he had worked for ten years for Maryland Portable Concrete. He was a member of the VFW Post #8126, American Legion and the Cedar Gun Club. He enjoyed Trap and Skeet shooting. He was an avid Hunter and Fisherman. Services were held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD.
