David Verlon Wright



David Verlon Wright, of Aberdeen, passed away on February 5, 2010. He was 57.

He was born in Havre de Grace, MD to Betty Jane Stamper Wright, of Perryville, MD and to the late Verlon Cleveland Wright. He was the father of David Michael Wright and Sara Caskey of North East, MD and Nicole Danyel Wright, also of North East, MD. He was the grandfather of Logan Michael Alexander Abbott and Jordan Nicole Wright. He was the brother of Michael Paul Wright and Naomi Ruth Wright of Bel Air, MD, E. Danies Brown and Robert Glenn Brown of Perryville, MD and the late Diana Mae Bailey of Aberdeen, MD; and the former husband of Meloney Ann Wright of North East, MD. He is also survived by his best friend Donna Kirkendall.

Mr. Wright was a self-employed interiors contractor. He was also a professional singer and musician, fronting several bands including The Wright Brothers, Freelance and Jam City. He played the guitar, harmonica, keyboards and bass guitar. He also enjoyed composing and songwriting. He was a member of Havre de Grace Presbyterian Church.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 12, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 11: 00 AM, at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens. Rev. Harold Hubble will officiate. Pallbearers will be David M. Wright, Michael Wright, Robert Brown, John Bailey, Tom Brown and Gary Kirkendall. Honorary pallbearers will be David Dziecichowicz, Tony Beavers, Tim Brown, and Gary Kelley.
