Debby and I were best friends; we met right before the 6th grade at Open House. My lasting memory of her, other than how beautiful she was back then, will always be her laughter. She had literally the funniest laugh I to this day, have ever heard. Many, many times I had no idea WHAT she was laughing ABOUT, I just had to hear that laugh and then I would start laughing...and like Debra Stacy Baxter wrote, many times in chapel we would get laughing so hard during prayer, that the whole pew, literally would be shaking. She had just a great sense of humor, such a love for life, such a free spirit, a great sense of style...and she was also a very, very caring person. I will never forget the many time she spent the night with me and me with her. I regret the many years that life distanced us...but we never stopped loving each other and always considered each other as 'best friends'. I am still in shock. Gone way too soon. I will miss her so very much. My prayers are with you, Mr. Lowe and family. The death of a child is the hardest; but God will carry you when you feel you cannot bear it.
