Dolores P. Gessig

Dolores P. Gessig of Havre de Grace, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 11, 2009 at Citizens Care Center in Havre de Grace, MD. She was 83.

Mrs. Gessig was born in Shamokin, PA to the late John and Alexandra (Kibitlewski) Sieklicki. She was the beloved wife of the Late John J. Gessig.

She was a devoted mother of two: Deborah A. and her husband Ronald P. Baker, Sr. and Jonny D. and her husband Richard E. Harvey, Sr. She was a wonderful grandmother of four: Tammy K. Andrews, Richard E. Harvey, Jr., Ronald P. Baker, Jr. and Justin J. Harvey, Sr. She was the great grandmother of four: Justin J. Harvey, Jr., Hailie R. Harvey, Jaidyn A. Baker and Alexus J. Harvey. She is survived by her two brothers Alphonse Sieklicki, Anthony Sieklicki and her sister, Elizabeth Reiprish. She was predeceased by four brothers and one sister.

She was a devoted homemaker to her family. She enjoyed being a member of the Legion of Mary and volunteering at Citizen’s Care Center and Grace Place. She loved reading, crocheting, gardening, volunteering and the water. She also enjoyed Sodality. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2009 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.

A mass will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 11 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 615 Congress Ave., Havre de Grace, MD 21078

Officiating will be Father William J. O’Brien
