Obituary for Edmond H. Elburn

Edmond H. Elburn



Edmond H. Elburn of Havre de Grace, MD passed on October 12, 2012 at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. He was 88. He was the loving husband of the late Phyllis A. Elburn.

Mr. Elburn was born in Rock Hall, MD to the late George Franklin and Catherine Coleman Elburn. He was the devoted father to Edmond H. Elburn, Jr. and his wife Rose Mary. He was the adoring grandfather to Edmond T. Elburn. Mr. Elburn is survived by his sister Betty Crouch, sister-in-laws Mary Ann Spencer, Thelma Bigelow and Betty Bigelow. He was predeceased by his brother Charles Elburn, brother-in-laws Allan Crouch and Neal Gardner and sister-in-law, Joyce Gardner

Mr. Elburn was a United States Army veteran, having served in WWII. He retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground after 35 years of Civil Service. He was a member of the Rock Hall, MD American Legion Post #228. He enjoyed being outdoors, working in his garden, always fixing things and helping others in need. He worked around the Harford County area as a handyman, fixing up homes and painting since his retirement. He will be greatly missed by his neighbors and friends he has helped over the years.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 5 to 7 PM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 12 PM at the Harford Memorial Garden Chapel, 3839 Aldino Road, Aberdeen, MD

Officiating will be Pastor Edward Heydt.
