Elaine K. Williams

Elaine K. Williams of Havre de Grace , MD passed away peacefully surrounded by her family December 10, 2011. She was 85.
Mrs. Williams was born in Baltimore , MD to the late Allen W. Kirtscher, Sr. and Wilhelmina “Minnie” (Debelius) Kirtscher. She was the loving wife of the late Frederick A. Williams, Jr.
Mrs. Williams was the devoted mother to Frederick A. “Rick” Williams, III and his late wife, Lynn and Patricia W. “Pat” Perrone. She was the adoring grandmother to Lauren M. Perrone and Jeffrey A. Perrone. She was predeceased by her brothers Allen W. “Babe” Kirtscher and George Kirtscher. She is survived by her Sister-in-Law Irene Kirtscher.
Mrs. Williams was a 1943 graduate of Havre de GraceHigh School . She worked at Foley’s Drug store in Havre de Grace before furthering her career as secretary at both Edgewood Arsenal and Aberdeen Proving Ground. Moving on she worked as church secretary at the Havre de Grace United Methodist where she retired after 26 years of service.
Mrs. Williams was a faithful member of the Grace Reformed Episcopal Church since 1941. She enjoyed the company of Jackie Ham for breakfast at McDonald’s each Sunday before church services. She attended Bible Study at the home of Dolly Mason on a weekly basis enjoying the fellowship of Dolly and her son, Lou. She loved taking early morning walks on the Promenade in Havre de Grace reminiscing with friends she met along the way. Often she joined her high school girlfriends for lunch around town. She also enjoyed lunch with her niece, Donna Barker on many occasions. Elaine took pleasure working with her husband, Fred in their yard. Many folks passing by would stop to compliment them on their pristine yard. She loved the opportunity to join Rick and Lynn for pleasurable boat rides to St. Michaels and Rock Hall , MD to celebrate special family occasions. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life along with Pat’s dog, Chloe.
Both Fred and Elaine were fortunate to have Vestal Tay (Mary) as their devoted caregiver. Mary lived at the home providing exceptional care 24/7. She has become a cherished member of the Williams family.
A visitation will be held Friday, December 16, 2011 from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. at the Grace Reformed Episcopal Church, 560 Fountain Street, Havre de Grace, MD, followed by a service at noon.
Officiating will be Rev. Mark Specht.
Interment will be held at AngelHillCemetery , Havre de Grace , MD.
