Ernest Marvin Atwell



Ernest Marvin Atwell, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2012. He was 66.
He was born in Peachbottom, Pennsylvania, to the late Carl F. Atwell and Agnes Bedwell Atwell.

Mr. Atwell was the devoted husband of 39 years to Linda J. Atwell, and the loving father of Marvin Atwell of Havre de Grace, MD, and the late Mark Atwell. He was the dear brother of Donald Atwell of Dublin, MD, Carl Franklin Atwell of Bel Air, MD, Douglas Atwell of Perryville, MD, Pauline Chester of Jarrettsville, MD, Juanita Lowe of Whiteford, MD, Doris Sue Linnane of Greensboro, NC, Vivian J. Zamzow of Ottawa, IL, and the late Lucille Taylor.

Mr. Atwell served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retied from Aberdeen Proving Grounds where he was an artillery tester. He loved sports, especially bowling, football, baseball, and WWE wrestling.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 6-8 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Blaise Sedney will officiate. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens.
