I am so sorry to hear that Dr. Hatem has passed away. It seems like yesterday that I was there for my appointment and he told me that he was retiring. I remember being so upset to lose him as my most caring and compassionate doctor. I actually cried when I found out he was retiring. He delivered all three of my children and I remember him visiting my room at 11:30 at night to see how I was doing. I asked him why he was there so late and he told me he had a baby coming and just stopped by to see how I was doing. I was forever amazed at how caring he was. He would listen to all my woes at each appointment and I valued his kind advice and his honest wisdom. I live in Cecil County, so I never realized that he had passed until today. I just wanted the family to understand how he touched so many of his patients in such a positive way, always making each one of us feel special. I remember coming in to the office for my 1st appointment to see the other doctor in his office at the time, Dr. Bush. I head him interacting with his patients and ask Irene (his lifetime nurse) to schedule me with the other doctor next time. From that day forward for over 33 years, I was proud to call Dr. Hatem my doctor and I actually felt like he was my friend. I will always remember him with many fond memories. I am so sorry that I missed his service. My best always. Debbie
