Helen Trent Walker



Helen Trent Walker of Havre de Grace, MD passed away on November 23, 2008 at Citizens Care Center. She was 78.

Mrs. Walker was born in Independence, Virginia to the late Lonnie M. and E. Freece (Day) Trent. She was the devoted wife of the Late Earl Walker, former Chief of Police of Havre de Grace, MD.

She was a loving mother to Richard A. Walker and his late wife Jean Carmody Walker of Phoenix, AZ. She was a beloved grandmother to Tennille Adams Walker of Phoenix, AZ. She was the sister to, Mary A. Weidley and her husband Lester of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, her sister-in-law Anna Trent of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, the Late James R. Trent, Sr., and the late Elizabeth and Jack Melton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Walker was an active member of the Havre de Grace Presbyterian Church and was a member since 1948, her friends at church were very much a family to her. She participated in Baskets of Grace and was a very strong supporter of the Havre de Grace SMILES organization.

Mrs. Walker had retired after more than 25 years as a school secretary for the Harford County Board of Education.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.

A Service will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., where Pastor Fritz Longabaugh, Rev. Jane Day Stover and Rev. Richard Neff will be officiating.

Interment will be at the Angel Hill Cemetery.
